It seems like not that long ago we were all dropping full paychecks on toilet paper. But priorities are shifting as things open back up. For example, DEODORANT is flying off the shelves right now.
But here s our favorite product that s selling: Walmart says it sold twice as many ALARM CLOCKS last month compared to a year ago. I guess people finally need them again. Here are a few more things we ve been stocking up on in the last few weeks . . .
1. Luggage, up 400% from last year. In general, all travel-related products are selling well right now.
2. Teeth whitening strips and beauty products. They ve been one of the biggest sellers in the past few months according to Walmart. ....

A R400m multistorey taxi rank complex, which opened for business 10 years ago, has turned into a white elephant as taxis use an open space adjacent to it to pick up commuters.
The complex on Harvey Street in the Bloemfontein CBD in the Free State is now being used by vagrants as a place to sleep and doubles up as a storage facility for hawkers to keep their merchandise.

NEW DELHI: States across India ordered emergency measures Thursday to counter a surge in the rare deadly black fungus infection among coronavirus sufferers. Two new states declared epidemics of Mucormycosis while New Delhi and other major cities have opened special wards to treat thousands of cases of the infection commonly known as black fungus.
India normally deals with less than 20 cases a year, but the infection has become a new threat from the coronavirus wave that has killed 120,000 people in six weeks. India on Thursday reported 4,147 more corona deaths and 256,563 infections, according to international media reports. ....

The occupant of a Christchurch house that was badly damaged in an early morning fire on Monday has credited smoke alarms for saving her life.
Fire and Emergency NZ responded to a report of a house fire on Malvern St in St Albans just after 3am.
