A family of six is safe after some of their neighbors rescued them from a multi-alarm fire that had broken out inside their Boston home.Officials say the fire at 120 Hazleton St. in the city s Mattapan neighborhood started at about 6:45 a.m. Saturday.Satin Dixon, who lives next door, says she was taking out trash after returning home from her overnight shift when she noticed flames on the back porches of her neighbors three-story house.Dixon says she notified her husband, who sprung into action with another neighbor. My husband actually dragged two of the old ladies out, and the other neighbor kicked down the door, she said.A resident told NewsCenter 5 that she and the five family members who live in the home safely escaped the home. One resident did suffer minor injuries, according to fire officials.Deputy Fire Chief Michael Doherty says the fire spread quickly and crews had to strike a second alarm.A Boston firefighter did suffer a minor back injury, according to Doherty. ....

Image: Emile Bosch The Gauteng health department on Monday raised the alarm over “notable increases” in the number of new Covid-19 cases in the province. Department spokesperson Kwara Kekana said new cases had increased across the province, particularly in the Sedibeng district, compared to the week before. “In the past two weeks, an increased number of new cases were also recorded in the Emfuleni, Tshwane 3 and Johannesburg D subdistricts,” Kekana said. The total number of confirmed Covid-19 cases in Gauteng as of May 2 was 424,326, with 410,573 recoveries and 10,664 deaths. ....
