Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS) minister Paul Scully told the House of Commons that “nothing is off the table” in the updated inquiry.

The government has acceded to
calls to put the inquiry into the Post Office scandal on a statutory footing – but several questions are likely to be left unanswered for the wrongfully convicted sub-postmasters.
Business minister Paul Scully, who last month resisted demands for a full public inquiry, today confirmed the government would extend the existing inquiry under the same judge and widen its scope and terms of reference.
