∫ The Montmorency County Board of Commissioners paid tribute to past board members at its first meeting ain February. The commissioners honored long-time commissioner Bert LaFleche, Darryl Peterson, and Dave Wagner. Each of the men received a plaque saluting their service and accomplishments.
The board also received an update from Sheriff Chad Brown who informed them a recent inspection was complete and the jail was in 100% compliance. The commissioners also voted to purchase a pair of patrol cars for $75,900.
Julie Kendrick was appointed to the Montmorency County Council on Aging, as the Atlanta senior representative.
∫ The Alpena Municipal Council voted to approve a new social media policy that addresses types of social media platforms, social media administrators), administrative posts and activities, employee personal social media activity, and expectations for community interaction on City social media platforms. ....
