A 52-year-old man has been arrested by officers of the Tableland Police Station in connection with an assault on a pensioner.
Around 8 pm on January 31st, a 61-year old pensioner, of Naparima Mayaro Road, was working at a bar, cleaning the premises. He was approached by a man known to him, who lives near the bar.
An argument ensued between both men and the suspect dealt the 61-year-old two chops to his body, which resulted in injury to his left hand and the left side of his face.
The proprietor of the bar made a report to the Tableland Police Station and a party of officers responded, interviewed the victim and several persons who provided information. ....
