Maharashtra government has told the Aurangabad Bench of the Bombay High Court that the state’s flagship health programme Mahatma Jyotirao Phule Jan Arogya Yojna (MJPJAY) now includes mucormycosis as an ailment.

“Irrespective of whether any person in the state is a cardholder or not, all would be eligible for the treatment under the MJPJAY, in selected hospitals,” said the government, adding that “there would be a capping on the expenses for Mucormycosis treatment. Non-governmental hospitals would not raise astronomical bills.” ....
