Amao: Armed Forces Committed to End Insecurity

The Chief of the Air Staff (CAS), Air Marshal Oladayo Amao, yesterday declared that the Armed Forces remained committed to ending the crisis of insecurity ravaging the nation.
He said the expected delivery of six A-29 Super Tucano fighter jets by the United States in July and two drones from China, would be a “game changer” in the war against insurgency.
The position of the air force chief is coming on a day the Minister of Transportation, Hon. Rotimi Amaechi, sought the assistance of the Chief of Army Staff, Maj. Gen. Farouk Yahaya, to provide security for train stations and railway construction sites across the country. ....

The Chief of Air Staff, Air Chief Marshal R.K.S. Bhadauria, visited the Defence Services Staff College (DSSC), Wellington, the Air Base and 5 Base Repair Depot (5 BRD) at Sulur here on Wednesday, said defence sources.
Sharing photos of ACM Bhadauria’s visit to the DSSC, the Indian Air Force tweeted that he addressed the faculty and the officers of the 76th Staff Course on the overall threat appreciation, leadership challenges of the future, and ways to reorient operational capability. ....

The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has appointed new Branch Chiefs, Air Officers Commanding, Commandants of Tri-Service Institutions and other functionaries, including a new spokesperson.
The Director of Public Relations and Information, NAF Headquarters, AVM Ibikunle Daramola, announced this in a statement on Monday in Abuja.
According to the statement, the newly appointed branch chiefs are AVM Dahiru Sanda, now the Chief of Defence Policy and Plans, Defence Headquarters, AVM Remigus Ekeh, erstwhile Chief of Standards and Evaluation Headquarters NAF, now appointed Chief of Policy and Plans.
Others are former Air Officer Commanding, Mobility Command, Yenagoa, AVM Ibukun Ojeyemi, now the Chief of Air Intelligence, while AVM Mahmud Madi has been appointed as the Air Secretary. ....

The Nigerian Air Force has appointed new branch Chiefs, Air Officers Commanding (AOCs), Commandants of Tri-Service Institutions and other functionaries, including a new spokesperson.
This was contained in a statement made available to, by the NAF which said that the new posting was a routine exercise aimed at re-invigorating operational effectiveness and enhancing service delivery.
According to the statement, Air Cadre Edward Gabkwet has been appointed as the new NAF Spokesperson while the newly appointed and redeployed senior officers are expected to take over their new offices not later than Thursday next week.
Other newly appointed Branch Chiefs are Air Vice Marshal (AVM) Dahiru Sanda, who is now the Chief of Defence Policy and Plans (CDPP), Defence Headquarters (DHQ), AVM Remigus Ekeh, erstwhile Chief of Standards and Evaluation Headquarters NAF (HQ NAF), who is now appointed Chief of Policy and Plans (COPP), HQ NAF, former AOC Mobility Command (MC), Yena ....
