Fayetteville police are investigating a shooting that  killed one man and injured another, according to a news release.
Police were called to the 6400 block of Applecross Avenue just after 4 p.m. Friday on reports of a man shot inside a vehicle, the release said.
The man died at the scene, and a second victim was found on the same street suffering from a gunshot wound to the abdomen. He was taken by emergency personnel to the hospital for treatment, according to the release.
Police are withholding the names of the victims until next of kin can be notified, according to a statement.   ....
