The annual Amazing Wheelbarrow Race, organised by the Frank Hilton Organisation (FHO) has gone virtual.
The race is the main fundraising activity for FHO and this year, in keeping with the new normal the race will be run virtually through an online application that can be downloaded on to a smartphone or accessed through the web browser.
On the app is a map of Viti Levu with eight 60 km segments marked by checkpoints, one for each day of the race. In order to move your virtual wheelbarrow to the next checkpoint, participants need to raise $10 per km or $600 per day and anything more will be counted as ‘Bara Bucks’. ....
