Ottawa firefighters were kept busy overnight attending two separate row house fires.
Ottawa Fire Services received multiple 911 calls reporting heavy black smoke from a middle unit in of row house complex on Woodroffe Avenue between Knoxdale Road and Majestic Drive.

When firefighters arrived, they confirmed heavy smoke and, due to the location of the fire and the risk it posed to neighbouring units, put in a second alarm.
Crews were then able to quickly extinguish the fire. Two residents were in the care of Ottawa Paramedic Services. No other details were available. ....
