Lucknow: Ayodhya District administration has banned entry of Ram Bhakts on Ram Navami, falling on April 21, without bringing negative Covid-19 report for offering prayers to Lord Ram Lala at the make-shift temple.
The Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath had held a virtual meeting with top seers of Ayodhya on Tuesday requesting them low-key celebrations in view of spurt in active cases during the second wave of coronavirus in Ayodhya.
The CM has appealed to devotees to celebrate Ram Navami at home instead of holding any congregation in Ayodhya or elsewhere.
The Ayodhya District Magistrate Anuj Kumar Jha said that the decision was taken in view of a spike in active cases in the temple town. âNo one will be allowed to enter Ayodhya on Ram Navami day without bringing a negative RT PCR report no older than 48 hours,â Jha said. ....

The bank accounts of Lord Ram Lala in Ayodhya continue to swell. A whopping Rs 5457 crore have so far been deposited into the vaults of three bank accounts for the Lord while the donations collected during 44-day Nidhi Samarpan Ahbiyan are still being counted.
Releasing the latest figure of donations collected, the Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust General Secretary Champat Rai said that so far they have tabulated Rs 5457.94 crores which have been deposited in State Bank of India, Bank of Baroda and Punjab National Banks. ....

With Rs 2,100 crore in its kitty, Ram temple trust now mulling to launch global donation drive

LUCKNOW: The Ayodhya Ram temple trust is contemplating a global drive to collect donations after the Samarpan Nidhi Abhiyan run by the Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) volunteers concluded on February 27 with a collection of over Rs 2,100 crore.
According to Mahant Govind Dev Giri, the treasurer of the trust, a lot of requests were pouring in from Ram Bhakts living abroad to launch a global drive for collecting donations.
Giri said that a decision in this connection would be taken by the trust at a meeting of the trustees shortly. “Members will discuss modalities and protocol related to RBI, Finance Ministry, I-T regulations and clearances, to be followed for launching the Samarpan Nidhi Abhiyan globally, said one of the trustees. ....
