BRECKSVILLE– Jerome “Jake” Liptak, 83, passed away peacefully Wednesday, Jan. 27, 2021.
Born Dec. 31, 1937, in Youngstown, he was the beloved son of the late Michael Sr. and Ann Ryzner Liptak; loving brother to Mike Jr. (Marvine), Carol Campbell (Billy, deceased) and Larry; and uncle, great-uncle, great-great-uncle and friend to many.
Jake loved sharing stories of growing up on the farm. He maintained many of his childhood friendships throughout his entire life.
As one of the founding brothers of ALL Erection & Crane Rental Corp., Jake spent many years operating a Galion cherry-picker crane in the steel mills of Cleveland. Known for his cheery disposition and hard work ethic, Jake was admired by everyone who had an opportunity to meet him. After years of being in the operator engineer’s union, Jake continued his love for equipment and construction by attending auctions and scrapping metal. Jake was fearless and creative when it came to his work. ....
