The Ministry of Health is urging the public to be vigilant as it continues to detect community transmission cases of the highly contagious Delta variant of COVID-19.
Most cases of infection by the Delta variant, which is thought to be as much as 15 times more contagious than the original strain of the novel coronavirus, have been found among Cambodian migrant workers returning from Thailand. A Health Ministry statement released Tuesday announced 21 of 39 newly confirmed cases of Delta infection had been found among returnees, who are screened for COVID-19 and quarantined in facilities along the border. ....

Vietnam presents COVID-19 medical supplies to Cambodia

VOV.VN - Vietnamese ambassador to Cambodia Vu Quang Minh on May 26 handed over Vietnam’s medical supplies to Cambodian Health Minister Mam Bun Heng, to help Cambodian to combat the COVID-19 pandemic.
Ambassador Vu Quang Minh presents the gift to Cambodian Health Minister Mam Bun Heng in Phnom Penh on May 26.
The Vietnamese Government’s gift is comprised of 800 ventilators, two million medical face masks and 300,000 N95 masks.
Addressing the handover ceremony, ambassador Minh spoke highly of the measures the Cambodian Government has adopted to slow the spread of the virus in the community in recent times, and expressed his hope the Vietnamese donations will make a practical contribution to Cambodia’s COVID-19 fight. ....
