Emergency departments across Perth were working under pressure in the lead-up to the weekend with ambulances ramped outside all major hospitals on Friday.
Nine ambulances were waiting to offload patients outside Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital on Friday afternoon, with the ED operating beyond capacity. Some had been stationed outside the door for three hours.

Aishwarya Aswath s parents said they rushed her to the hospital at about 5pm on Saturday after she developed a fever the day before, and begged for help four or five times when her hands went cold and her eyes went cloudy. ....

Labor’s dominant left faction will get a boost in the West Australian Parliament as more than 70 out of a possible 95 seats come into play for the party as counting continues.
