Images indicate the latest UAV in Iran is a reverse-engineered copy of the MQ-9 Predator design.
The Islamic Republic of Iran Air Force unveiled a new high-altitude long-endurance UCAV on 24 February, according to the state-run Fars news agency.
The Kaman 22 reportedly has a range of 3,000km and mission endurance of 24h. It can be equipped with various EO and EW payloads, Fars noted.
Images released on social media showed Kaman 22 armed with bombs.
In terms of its design, this new UAV bears a very close resemblance to the US MQ-9 Reaper, although its size is more similar to the older MQ-1 design. ....
