The visitor experience at one of Tasmania’s most picturesque locations has being enhanced with a new lookout officially opened at Wineglass Bay.
The $700,000 project is jointly funded through the Australian Government’s National Tourism Icons Package and the Tasmanian Government’s Improving State-wide Visitor Infrastructure program.
Minister for Environment and Parks, Roger Jaensch, said the new lookout would reduce congestion at peak times at the popular destination.
“With visitor numbers to Freycinet National Park starting to increase following the impact of COVID-19, it is vitally important we have the infrastructure in place to protect and present the area as best we can” said Minister Jaensch. ....
