The Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC) has granted authorisation to Vali joint venture comprising Vintage Energy, Metgasco and Bridgeport to enter into joint gas marketing arrangements, Vintage said on May 13.
Vali field is located in the Cooper/Eromanga basin in Queensland. None of the parties currently produce or sell natural gas. The field was discovered in January 2020, when a well encountered a gas pay in Nappamerri, Toolachee and Patchawarra formations. ....

The Australian retailer Officeworks has stopped selling Apple s AirTag object tracker, following reports that its battery can easily be removed by children.
The move, first reported by Gizmodo and since confirmed by Officeworks, was done quietly at first, with shop-floor staff unaware that the product had been pulled.

Audio-Technica ATH-CK3TW wireless headphones were widely sold in four colour variants (black, blue, red or white) through JB Hi-Fi, Officeworks, Good Guys, the Audio-Technica online store, and various other outlets between 1 November 2019 and 18 February 2021.
According to the recall notice, there is a risk of the battery in the charger case overheating, with a subsequent risk of fire causing injury or property damage.
Owners are advised to stop using the case and earphones.

The Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC), in a digital platforms services inquiry interim report, said app developers should be allowed to provide customers with alternative payment options and data collected by Google and Apple should be kept separate from their other operations.
The ACCC also called for consumers to be allowed to change or remove pre-installed or default apps.
We have identified a number of areas where action is required and have put forward potential measures to address areas of particular concern, ACCC Chair Rod Sims said.
There is a window of opportunity for Apple and Google themselves to take steps to improve outcomes for app developers and consumers. ....
