THUNDER BAY – The City of Thunder Bay Archives is calling for nominations from the community of notable women from our city’s past to be featured on the web exhibit for Women’s History Month in October.
The Women in History online exhibit was launched in 2013 as a means to recognize women who have contributed to the history and community of Thunder Bay. Every year, we ask for submissions from the community of local women who have made an impact to be included and celebrated within the exhibit.
“This is a great opportunity to celebrate in a year that has been challenging in an unprecedented way,” said city clerk Krista Power. “I encourage you to celebrate a woman who had an impact on our community. We would also like to celebrate the diversity of our City by hearing and honouring the stories of Indigenous women and women of colour who enrich our lives.”
