ITHACA, N.Y. (WHCU) – The Ithaca College Contingent Faculty Union has begun negotiations on its next contract with college administration. 
The Ithacan reports the current collective bargaining agreement was set to expire in May of 2020, but was extended by a year because of the pandemic.
The public health crisis and the recent Academic Program Prioritization effort by the college, which cut many of the contingent faculty positions, have both greatly shaped the Union’s goals for protections for its members.
The Union is pushing for support for terminated faculty members at risk of losing their visas and helping to facilitate unemployment insurance claims. ....
