It has been 50 years of the liberation of Bangladesh from Pakistani rule. And India and Bangladesh are celebrating the Golden Jubilee of that war.
A marching contingent and band of Bangladesh tri-services participated in the Indian Republic Day Parade at Rajpath to commemorate 50 years of its historic liberation.
The 122-member contingent of the Bangladesh Armed Forces comprising soldiers of the Bangladesh Army, sailors of the Bangladesh Navy, and air warriors of the Bangladesh Air Force was led by the contingent Commander Lieutenant Colonel Abu Mohammed Shahnoor Shawon and his deputies, Lieutenant Farhan Ishraq and Flight Lieutenant Sibat Rahman. ....

At a time when New Delhi and Dhaka are celebrating the golden jubilee of the birth of Bangladesh, a marching contingent of Bangladesh Army comprising 96 soldiers has been invited to take part in this year’s Indian Republic Day Parade to be held on January 26.
It is for the second time that foreign country’s troops are invited to take part in the biggest ceremonial event at Rajpath. Earlier, in 2016, a contingent of French 130 soldiers had marched down Rajpath with the then French President Francois Hollande as the chief guest. ....
