KOCHI: After the successful completion of the first leg in Thiruvananthapuram on Sunday, the 25th International Film Festival of Kerala (IFFK) will shift base to the Queen of Arabian Sea. Now, the curtains will go up for the second leg of the festival, in Kochi on Wednesday. ....

The second leg of the 25th International Film Festival of Kerala (IFFK) will be held in Kochi from February 17.
As many as 80 films will be screened in six theatres in Ernakulam under eight categories. The categories include Indian Cinema Now, Malayalam Cinema Today, Homage, and World Cinema.

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: On Wednesday, the opening day of 25th International Film Festival of Kerala (IFFK), the venues spotted a dull look with fewer visitors compared to previous years. Though nearly 2,500 delegates registered for the much-anticipated event, many didn’t turn up because of the lack of other attractions such as stalls and events. The free antigen tests for volunteers and delegates attending the event continued at Tagore Theatre which annoyed many as they could watch the screenings only after getting the Covid-19 negative certificates. ....

Fresh talent galore at 25th IFFK; 10 new Malayalam filmmakers to exhibit works

Thiruvananthapuram: The 25th edition of the International Film festival of Kerala (IFFK) is all geared up to witness new filmmakers making their mark with their intriguing movies. As many as 10 new filmmakers from Malayalam alone will be exhibiting their works at this year’s festival. Besides, several newcomers from Tamil, Hindi and a variety of foreign languages are also ready to showcase their talent.
‘Android Kunjappan Version 5.25 by Ratheesh Balakrishnan Pothuval, who bagged the Best Debut Director Award at the Kerala State Film Awards this year is a major highlight at this years festival.
