A Breaux Bridge man has been arrested after a shooting Thursday afternoon shooting at an apartment complex.
Officers responded shortly before 4:45 p.m. to reports of a male subject shooting from a vehicle at the Bayou Teche Apartments on Agnes Drive.
No injuries were reported.
Police identified the suspect as Traylon Calais, 20, of Breaux Bridge. He was arrested and transported to the St. Martin Parish Correctional Center.
Calais is facing charges of assault by drive-by shooting, aggravated criminal damage to property, illegal use of weapons, and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

A Whangārei house occupied at the time was the target of a drive-by shooting last Friday evening.
No-one inside the house was injured during the shooting that occurred on Brunner Terrace in Kamo around 6.30pm on May 7. Police have today made the shooting public and are appealing for help.

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. – A 16-year-old male has been arrested a day after a drive-by shooting with one of the bullets hitting only inches away from a 1-year-old baby in the back seat of a vehicle.
Officers were able to locate the teen Thursday (4/22/21) morning and took him into custody. He is facing several charges including three counts of aggravated assault, felony evading, and theft over $10,000.
Officers responded to Foxdale Dr. and Bartway Dr. about the drive-by shooting around 1:50 p.m., Wednesday afternoon, April 21.
The victims were at a residence on Foxdale Dr. to purchase a lawnmower from a friend when a black truck, occupied by two people, pulled up next to them and someone inside opened fire, striking the vehicle multiple times. None of the three victims were injured.

BATON ROUGE - Baton Rouge Police responded to a deadly shooting around 8:30 p.m. Monday. 
The shooting took place in the 600 block of Myrtle Avenue at the intersection of Napoleon St. 
Authorities say one victim was deceased at the time emergency responders arrived at the scene. Two other victims were brought to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

BATON ROUGE - Baton Rouge Police are investigating the death of a man who was found in his vehicle, suffering from gunshot wounds on Monday night.
According to representatives with the Baton Rouge Police Department, it was around 8:45 p.m. when authorities were called to the 1000 block of Napoleon Street near Myrtle Avenue.
Upon arriving, police found 25-year-old George Stevenson in the driver’s seat of a Hyundai suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. He was accompanied by two male passengers, a 17-year-old and a 19-year-old, who'd also been shot.

(La Vergne, Tenn.) Police are on the lookout for suspects who are accused of being involved in multiple targeted drive by shootings that occurred on Mable Drive and R.G. Buchanan in LaVergne.
The LaVergne Police Department told WGNS NEWS, "These events happened on 03/10/21 and 03/14/21 (Wednesday and Sunday)." The vehicle involved was a Kia Soul that appeared to be black or a dark gray in color.  A second vehicle was white in color and could possibly be a Nissan Altima, Maxima or Toyota Camry. 
Authorities tell WGNS that the subjects in the two suspect vehicles are to be considered armed and dangerous. Police are asking the public NOT TO APPROACH the subjects if you see the vehicles in question, but instead call law enforcement.

CLEVELAND, Ohio (WOIO) - The Cuyahoga County Grand Jury indicted a University Heights woman for her alleged role in the October 2019 shooting death of a six-year-old girl.
Angel Cannon, 22, was indicted on multiple charges; including, aggravated murder, attempted murder and felonious assault.
Cleveland police said on Oct. 5, 2019, Cannon drove a car with at least two armed passengers to a home in the 1300 block of E. 171st Street.
According to police, when they arrived, Raysean Howard fired nearly 30 bullets into the South Collinwood residence.
