The Governor of Zamfara State, Bello Matawalle has donated 400 bags of assorted grains to inmates at the Gusau Correctional facility as his Ramadan and Sallah welfare to them.
This was contained in a statement issued by the Director-General Media, Yusuf Idris Gusau, on Monday.
The statement noted that the items included 100 bags of rice, 100 bags of maize, 100 bags of millet and 100 bags of sugar.
Represented by the Commissioner of Special Duties, Hon. Lawal Abubakar, the governor called on the inmates to consider their stay in the facility as part of their destiny in life, admonishing them to use their experience to reflect on their lives so that they will be good citizens after their prison terms. ....

Ramadan: Matawalle Distributes 400 Bags Of Assorted Grains To Prisoners

Zamfara State Governor, Bello Matawalle, on Monday, distributed 400 bags of assorted grains to inmates at the Gusau Correctional facility as his Ramadan and Sallah welfare to them.
This was disclosed via a statement issued by the governor’s spokesman, Yusuf Idris Gusau, noting that the items consist of 100 bags of rice, 100 bags of maize, 100 bags of millet and 100 bags of sugar.
He said the governor, who visited the facility and the inmates, handed over the bags to the Deputy Comptroller Mr. Yunusa Ibrahim Ada via the Commissioner of Special Duties, Hon. Lawal Badarawa
While calling on the inmates to consider their being in the facility as part of their destiny in life, the governor urged them to use their stay for sober reflections so that they will be good citizens that will contribute positively to societal growth. ....

Following the deadly attack by suspected members of dreaded Boko Haram who held away for more than 24 hours, Yobe state Governor, Hon Mai Mala Buni has sought special military intervention to safeguard Geidam and other communities bordering Borno state to the North.
The governor who commiserated with the people of Geidam over the sad incident of the Boko Haram attack on the town said efforts were being intensified to curb the incessant attacks.

Gombe State Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya has approved the release of 755 Million Naira for Payment of Gratuity Arrears to retired Civil Servants in the State.
The Governor who promised to pay outstanding pensions of Gombe LGA Retirees is part of his continued commitment and determination to improve the welfare of retirees in the state.
In the press statement made available to Journalists on Thursday and signed by the Director General Press Affairs, Mr Ismalia Uba Misilli added that the Governor Inuwa Yahaya has approved the release of seven hundred and fifty five million naira for the payment of outstanding gratuities to retired civil servants in the state. ....

BREAKING: Driver Dies In Accident Involving Gombe Governor's Convoy

The convoy of Governor Inuwa Yahaya of Gombe State was involved in an accident on Thursday.
The incident happened while the governor was returning to his State from Bauchi where he attended a meeting of the Northeast Governors’ Forum.
Coincidentally, two days ago, the convoy of Governor Bala Mohammed of Bauchi was involved in an accident where 10 policemen sustained injuries but no life was lost.
Daily Trust learnt that one of the tyres of the SUV conveying the Director-General Press Affairs of Gombe, Ismaila Uba Misilli, burst in motion.
The driver of the vehicle simply identified as Malam Babangida was said to have lost control of the vehicle and lost his life in the process while the other occupants sustained injuries. ....
