What do you think of when you hear the word Bhutan ? Until I visited Bhutan, I didn t have much of an image of the country, just a vague idea of the Land of Happiness. During my trip to Bhutan, I had a chance to think about what the appeal of this country is. Located on the eastern edge of the Himalayas, Bhutan is at a high altitude and the clouds are very close. Bhutan is also known as the Land of Thunder Dragons.
The scenery we encountered everywhere we went had a mystique and grandeur that made us feel as if dragons lived there. The people have a strong faith in Tibetan Buddhism, and good deeds are natural and bring compassion to the hearts of the people. From the land of Bhutan, I felt a peaceful air that made me feel at peace. I think this air itself is the charm of this country. I would like to convey this atmosphere through my photographs. ....
