Håkan Folin, Executive Vice President and CFO at SSAB, has decided to leave SSAB to take up the position of Executive Vice President and CFO at Epiroc.
Håkan Folin has served as Executive Vice President and CFO and been a member of SSAB’s Group Executive Committee since 2013. Prior to this, he held a number of important roles globally at SSAB.
“After 15 years at the company, it’s time for me to move on. ABB Power receives Rs 124 cr order from BALCO

ABB Power Products and Systems India on Wednesday announced that it has been awarded a project worth over Rs 124 crore from Bharat Aluminum Company (BALCO).The scope of work involves improving reliability of the power distribution system at BALCO s Korba plant in Chhattisgarh. ABB Power said it is delivering fully engineered 400-kilovolt gas-insulated switchgear (GIS) substations that will replace an existing apparatus to better assimilate power from BALCO s captive generation plants, delivering it with efficiency to the Korba aluminum smelter.
Hitachi ABB Power Grids (listed as ABB Power Products and Systems India) is equipping the substations with its advanced MicroSCADA automation solution to monitor and control the aluminum producer s grid in real time and ensure maximum power availability. It is also deploying its industry-leading 500- megavolt ampere power transformers to further enhance grid efficiency and safety. ....

When we think of 3D printing we usually think of a little robot that squirts out endless lines of plastic onto a surface. But vacuum forming smoothing a sheet of thin plastic over an object to make a hollow copy has been around much longer and is the premise behind Myyard’s Formart 2.

To use it you place a flat sheet of plastic onto the holder which the machine heats to just below its melting point. ABB Power Products Q4 PAT jumps 54% YoY to Rs 55 cr

ABB Power Products and Systems India reported a 54.9% jump in net profit to Rs 54.96 crore on 6.90% decline in total revenue from operations to Rs 1,043.7 crore in Q4 December 2020 over Q4 December 2019.ABB Power Products follows a calendar year for accounting. The company s profit before tax jumped 79.8% to Rs 75.58 crore in Q4 December 2020 over Q4 December 2019. Total tax expense were steeply higher at Rs 20.62 crore in Q4 December 2020 as compared to Rs 6.5 crore in Q4 December 2019.
The company s operating EBITA slumped 28.9% year on year to Rs 65.9 crore in Q4 December 2020 from Rs 92.8 crore in Q4 December 2019. EBITA margin declined to 6.3% in Q4 December 2020 from 8.3% in Q4 December 2019. Meanwhile, the company has declared a dividend of Rs 2 per share. ....
