Two women urge all to ring bells on Christmas Eve

PORT JERVIS – Two Port Jervis women have undertaken an effort to ring bells around the city for two minutes on Christmas Eve.
Elizabeth Calvert and Gina Torres, neighbors who live across the street from each other in the lower Fourth Ward, heard about a project that other communities were taking part in on Christmas Eve and decided to bring the sound of bells to their city.
“I know people from at least two other communities who are ringing bells on Christmas Eve, and I also saw this online. I thought it would be a good idea for kids, so I posted it,” Calvert said. “People need people, and this has been a tough year. I think it’s one way to add some positive outcome for 2020.” ....
