Transfer of CSIR-CMERI technologies to three MSMEs

Mr. Omkar Bansal of ‘M/s Maa Durga Sales Agency’, Guwahati told that several areas of Assam are facing the problem of high contamination of iron in drinking water and his company is planning to start work in the four most affected districts namely Kamrup Metro, Kamrup Urban, Barpeta and Shivsagar of Assam. Presently, the company is working for installation of 700 water purification system of smaller units with a capacity of 1000 litres per hour. The company has plan to install High Flow Rate (6000 to 12000 LPH) Iron Removal filter technology of CSIR-CMERI in different districts of Assam as a part of projects received from the Government, respective panchayats and also to be a part of Jal Jeevan Mission of the Government of India. ....

Punjab to cover 35 lakh rural households with piped water connections by March 2022

Chandigarh (Punjab) [India], January 8 (ANI): The target to provide potable piped water connections to all 35 lakh rural households will be achieved by March 2022 under the Jal Jiwan Mission, said the Punjab Water Supply and Sanitation Minister Razia Sultana, adding that 66 per cent of these households have already been covered by December 2020.
Addressing a press conference at Punjab Bhawan on Friday, Sultana said that despite the pandemic situation, Water Supply and Sanitation Department has provided the potable piped water supply in three districts SAS Nagar, SBS Nagar, and Rupnagar, besides accomplishing the 100 per cent piped water supply target in 14 blocks and 4608 villages. ....
