The approach of the anniversary of independence always brings with it as sense of retrospective elation, at least to me.
I, as much as most, believe that the acquisition of independence is a great thing and that every loyal citizen should be proud of the fact that their country stands on its own politically and should be happy to be part of the celebrations whenever the anniversary of independence comes around. Therefore, let be very early in this column say happy independence to Grenada and all of its citizens. Let me also congratulate all of the organizations and private citizens that took the time of to do something whatever it is the mark the occasion and respect it as a moment to be proud of. ....
