Saginaw teen journalist Julian Morris to speak at Gov. Whitmer’s virtual Black History Month event

SAGINAW, MI - Julian Morris, a Saginaw Arts & Sciences Academy middle-schooler who recently launched his own entertainment magazine, was invited by Gov. Gretchen Whitmer to speak at a state Black History Month event Friday afternoon.
Whitmer will host the virtual event, titled “Black History Month Celebration: Young Leaders Changing the Narrative,” according to a Robert Leddy, a spokesman for her office. Whitmer will recognize Morris and four other students from across the state for their achievements, and they will make remarks, he said. The event will take place at 4:30 p.m. over Zoom and can be viewed through the link here. ....
