A Malaysian named Mogesh Sababathy has made the country proud as one of the 20 finalists globally to be shortlisted for the Commonwealth Youth Awards this year, beating out over 1,000 entries.
The 23-year-old is also one of the four finalists within the Asia region, representing Malaysia with youths from India, Pakistan, and Bangladesh.

The award is meant to recognise outstanding Commonwealth youth whose projects are transforming lives in their communities and helping to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
For the Universiti Malaysia Terengganu graduate with a degree in Marine Biology, it started with ‘Project Ocean Hope’, a youth-led group that aims to raise the visibility of ocean issues and environmental conservation through campaigns and youth leadership training. ....
