Luca Yupanqui's 'Sounds Of The Unborn' Was Recorded Before She Was Even Born

Luca Yupanqui will soon release her debut album that her parents recorded before she was even born.
“Sounds of the Unborn” was created by Yupanqui’s parents, Elizabeth Hart and Iván Diaz Mathé, while their daughter was still in the womb.
Hart and Diaz Mathé both come from musical backgrounds. Hart plays the bass for experimental psychedelic rock band Psychic Ills and Diaz Mathé is a producer who worked with recording plant music using MIDI biosonic technology. But during Hart’s third trimester, they turned to their unborn child for their next project. ....

A toddler is set to release her debut album after being recorded from inside the womb.
Luca Yupanqui, a 15-month-old toddler, and now a recording artist, recorded the album Sounds Of The Unborn with help from her mum, musician Elizabeth Hart and dad Ivan Diaz Mathe.

Pitchfork reports. Aptly titled
Sounds of the Unborn, the LP was recorded while Luca was in utero. The album arrives on April 2nd.
The meditative song’s music video includes Super 8 footage shot during the recording sessions, which artist Victoria Keddie later processed with analog gear.

Sounds of the Unborn was made using “biosonic MIDI technology” to translate Luca’s movements into music notes that were sent to synthesizers. According to the video description, the toddler’s parents, Psychic Ills bassist Elizabeth Hart and Iván Diaz Mathé who has collaborated with Lee “Scratch” Perry, hooked up the tech to Hart, “transcribing its vibrations into Iván’s synthesizers.” ....
