The Midwestern State Theater students play on this theme in their newest production of Moliere s classic farce “Tartuffe.” “Tartuffe” (meaning the Imposter) is set in a lavish French mansion and centers around its owner, the kind, but all too trusting Orgon (Ian Kirkpatrick) who has fallen under the spell of the charismatic and “pious” conman Tartuffe (Ethan Boone). The play opens with Orgon’s household staff and advisor-like brother Cleante (James Alexander) plotting a way to expose the charlatan to their boss before he returns home. ....
