Registration for the eGovernment Excellence Award 2021 has been extended from April 10 to 18, 2021, the award’s Organising Committee announced.

Those looking to participate in the competition, held under the patronage of Deputy Prime Minister and Supreme Committee for Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Chairman Shaikh Mohammed bin Mubarak Al Khalifa, can register via the official website egovaward.bh.

All public and private sector entities and individuals are urged to visit the website to view the participation guidelines, which state, the submission process and how to apply noting that that those who won in the 10th edition of the award in 2019 will not be able to participate with the same projects but can apply with other projects and products. ....

The Information & eGovernment Authority (iGA) Chief Executive, Mohammed Ali Al Qaed participated in a media briefing organized by the National Communication Centre as part of a series of government media briefings. The media briefing focused on the achievements of the Kingdom’s digital transformation program in 2020 and took place remotely.
At the beginning of the briefing, Al Qaed stated that the authority managed to successfully migrate all essential government services to various digital channels in 2020; a major milestone in the Kingdom’s digital transformation efforts, particularly in the face of the challenges imposed by the global spread of COVID-19. ....
