An anonymous donor gifted $6,000 total to the Summit County Sheriff s Office to be distributed to its employees via $50 bills.

The staff of the Summit County Sherriff’s Office all received a nice holiday bonus – that wasn’t funded with taxpayer dollars.
Last week, a cardboard box filled with 120 envelopes each containing $50 was dropped off at the Summit County Sheriff’s Office with instructions to give each staff member one of them Before the deputy could ask for their name – they were gone.
“I mean literally it was, it was, here you go,” Summit County Sheriff Justin Martinez said. “The chief deputy asked what this for the individuals is explained what was for before they could before he could get a name. They said thank you and have a good day and they left.” ....
