Burlington families lined up at Roosevelt Park starting at 5 p.m. Friday for the Boys & Girls Club of Burlington s food distribution event.The organization partners with the Burlington School District to provide a week s worth of food per student for families in need.On Friday, the school district announced it distributed its 10,000th meal kit.The resource is especially important leading into February vacation week for families that rely on the district s meals to feed their children.Feeding Chittenden said these meals are a lifeline for many families.
