They nabbed 84 points to finish seventh out of 10 while Don Bosco took home the gold with 248.5 points. Daniel McLaughlin finished third at 126 lbs by losing his first match, but bouncing back for 12-2 and 7-0 decision victories. Jack Clarahan also had a third place performance at 160 lbs going 3-1 with his wins being a fall in 1:35, a 7-2 decision, and 8-7 decision. Other notable results included Aidan Schuster fourth at 182 lbs, Cade Streigle fourth at 195 lbs, Reid Molyneux fifth at 132 lbs, and Evan Dawson fifth at 145 lbs. ....

The Cobras tallied 113 points on the day and Kirksville won it all with 184. Jack Clarahan was the headliner standing on top of the podium at 160 lbs winning all five of his matches. He had four pins in a combined 11:17 and won the championship match by a 5-1 forfeit. Aidan Schuster placed second at 182 lbs going 4-1 with four pins in a combined 9:47 and lost the title match 6-2. Other top performances included Cade Streigle third at 195 lbs, Cade Molyneux fifth at 170 lbs, and Evan Dawson sixth at 145 lbs. ....
It was a strong end to the first half of the season for the Sigourney-Keota wrestling team on Saturday when the Cobras placed third at the Iowa City Regina Invitational. The Cobras were third out of 10 teams with 123 points while MFL MarcMac won it all with 247. Pekin edged S-K by one point for the runner-up spot. Four Cobras were in the top three for their weight class led by runner-up finishers in Aidan Schuster and Cade Streigle. Schuster went 2-1 at 182 lbs with a pair of pins in a combined 3:45 and Streigle went 1-1 at 195 lbs with a fall in 3:10. Other notable performances included Jack Clarahan third at 160 lbs, Cade Molyneux third at 170 lbs, Daniel McLaughlin fourth at 126 lbs, and Reid Molyneux fourth at 138 lbs. ....
The Sigourney-Keota wrestling team got back in the win column with a pair of victories in Tuesday’s triangular at Colfax-Mingo. The Cobras edged Colfax-Mingo 42-36 and handled English Valleys-Tri-County 48-15. Out of seven contested matches against the Tigerhawks, S-K won four of them with wins coming from DJ Hammes at 120 lbs by a pin in 5:00, Reid Molyneux by a fall in 3:05 at 138 lbs, Evan Dawson by fall in 2:37 at 152 lbs, and Cade Streigle at 195 lbs by fall in 2:33. The Cobras went 4-2 in contested matches in their second dual with all four once again coming by pin. Daniel McLaughlin took care of business at 126 lbs in 3:02, Evan Dawson at 152 lbs in 4:14, Aidan Schuster at 195 lbs in 44 seconds, and Cade Streigle at 220 lbs in 1:28. ....
While a few wrestling tournaments were postponed over the weekend due to weather, the Sigourney-Keota grapplers were able to get their home tournament in and the Cobras placed sixth as a team.
