Uttarakhand: No deaths reported in Kainchi Dham cloud burst ANI | Updated: May 13, 2021 07:58 IST Tehri (Uttarakhand) [India], May 13 (ANI): No lives were lost in the cloud burst incident that took place in the Kainchi Dham area of Uttarakhand s Tehri district, Uttarakhand DGP Ashok Kumar informed. The incident was reported around 5 pm on Wednesday. Around 12 to 13 shops have been damaged in the incident, but since the most of them were closed during lockdown, no lives have been lost, MS Rawat, SHO, Devprayag said. A cloudburst was reported at 5 pm today. Around 12 to 13 shops and several other properties have been damaged. Since, most of these shops were closed due to lockdown, No casualties have been reported yet. SDRF teams are on their way to the spot, Rawat said on Tuesday. ....
Uttarakhand s Chief Minister visited the areas affected by Tuesday s cloudburst Dehradun: A day after a cloudburst hit Devprayag in Uttarakhand s Tehri district, Chief Minister Tirath Singh Rawat on Wednesday visited the affected areas along with his ministerial colleagues for an on-the-spot assessment of the situation. Accompanied by Cabinet Minister Subodh Uniyal, Disaster Management Minister Dhan Singh Rawat and local MLA Vinod Kandari, the chief minister also met the affected people and assured them of all help. He asked District Magistrate Iva Shrivastava to extend assistance to the affected people at the earliest. The cloudburst on Tuesday razed two municipal buildings to the ground and damaged several shops.It also damaged pedestrian bridges, water pipelines and electricity supply lines. ....
