New Delhi, March 3 (IANS) The Union Food Ministry on Tuesday said that a total quantity of 427.363 lakh ton wheat has been estimated for procurement during the forthcoming RMS 2021-22 which is 9.56 per cent more than the 389.93 LMT procured during RMS 2020-21 which will be a fresh record.

CHAMBA: Despite that hydropower projects have made an important contribution in the development of Chamba district of Himachal Pradesh (HP), yet their impact on the environment has taken a huge toll on the natural and agricultural area, wildlife habitat and more importantly it has resulted in drying of the river bed due to diversion of river flow which could play havoc in future.
While talking to TOI on Tuesday Professor Shivani Abrol, head of the Geography department of Government College Chamba informed that there were as many as 13 small and big hydropower projects in Chamba district alone. ....
