Islamabad : Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ICCI) on Monday urged the Board of Investment (BoI) for setting up a one window facility as early as possible to facilitate the investors in making investment in Pakistan.
A delegation lead by ICCI President Sardar Yasir Ilyas Khan met with Minister of State and BoI Chairman Atif R Bokhari and discussed various options for promoting local and foreign investment in the country.
Yasir said Pakistan had tremendous potential for investment in various sectors of its economy including tourism, hospitality, infrastructure development and others, however, lengthy business registration processes, complicated taxation regime, inconsistent policies, insufficient policy reforms and red tapeism in the government departments were the major hurdles for local and foreign investors. ....
