Gozo-Malta air-ambulance service down for 4 hours

Due to a four-hour downtime of the Gozo-Malta air-ambulance service on Sunday 28
th March, a patient requiring urgent treatment at Mater Dei had to be transferred by ambulance.

Newsbook.com.mt, a Steward Healthcare spokesperson confirmed that both helicopters were out of service between 10.30am and 2.30pm. One of the air-ambulances was undergoing scheduled maintenance at the Malta International Airport, whilst the second helicopter developed issues and could not operate for some hours.
