The Ondo State Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, on Tuesday, said it had deployed 1,855 officers and men to the streets of the 18 local government areas of the state to provide adequate security before, during, after the Eid el Fitri celebration.
The State Commandant of the NSCDC, Mr Eweka Dauglas, disclosed this in a statement. He urged his men to be conscious of all identified flashpoints in the state
He also charged them to respect the fundamental human rights of citizens and adhered to the rules of engagement while discharging their duties during the celebration. ....

The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, Ondo State Command has deployed 1,855 personnel to ensure adequate protection of lives and property during and after the Eid-el-Fitr celebration.
A statement signed by the Command Public Relations Officer, DSC. Olufemi Omole in Akure said the State Commandant, Eweka Edenabu Douglas told the personnel to be conscious of all identified flashpoints which happen to be the converging arena for criminals.
Omole said that “Commandant Eweka affirmed that the State Command is in absolute compliance with the Commandant General of the NSCDC, Ahmed Abubakar in his vision to enhance qualitative Service delivery by Officers and men of the Corps. ....

Easter: Civil defence deploys 1,850 personnel in Ondo

Ahead of the Easter celebration, the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, NSCDC, Ondo State Command has deployed no fewer than 1,850 personnel across the state
The move by the corps was to ensure that there is adequate security, before, during and after the celebration in the state.
According to the Corps Public Relations Officer, DSC. Olufemi Omole, in a statement issued on Thursday “the situation of the country calls for collective efforts to ensure the protection of lives and properties.”
He added that the State Commandant of NSCDC in the state, Eweka Edenabu urged the operatives who will provide security in various parts of the state to exercise caution in the discharge of their duties and exhibit a high level of professionalism in their dealings with the civil populace. ....

For a crime-free Easter celebration, the Ogun State Police Command has deployed operatives of the Special Weapons And Tactics (SWAT) to forestall any act of criminality in the state.
The Ogun State Police Public Relations Officer, Abimbola Oyeyemi, said in a statement on Thursday that men of other Special Units like PMF and Anti-kidnapping section are also being deployed to nip in the bud, any incident that may want to rear its ugly head.
According to him, elaborate security arrangements had been put in place to ensure a hitch-free Easter celebration from April 2 to April 5.
The Command said it is fully aware that Ogun is the headquarters of various religious bodies, adding that this would attract an influx of people from within and outside the state. ....
