New Delhi, Feb 09: CSIR-CMERI transferred four indigenously developed Water Purification Technologies to three prominent MSMEs engaged in the Water Purification domain on 9th February 2021, in the presence of Prof. Harish Hirani, Director, CSIR-CMERI at a Press Conference. The MSME partners hailed the indigenously developed Water Purification technologies as a major stepping stone towards Self-Reliance and Import-Substitution.
Prof. Harish Hirani on this occasion shared, There is a huge scarcity of Water across the Globe and it is more so for Drinking Water. Sri Lanka : People's representatives told to prioritize projects that benefit the most people

Dec 17, Colombo: Basil Rajapaksa, Chairman of the Presidential Task Force on Economic Revival and Poverty Alleviation, instructed the people’s representatives and government officials to give priority to projects that will benefit the majority in the implementation of the 2021 Budget Proposals.
Mr. Rajapaksa said that the implementation of these proposals should be considered at the village level and all regional coordinating committees should be convened on the 21st and 22nd to seek the views of the people in all parts of the country.
He said that steps will be taken to inform the chairpersons of the Divisional Coordinating Committees in this regard within the next few days. ....
