Hefajat mayhem: Brahmanbaria municipality suspends all activities

The authority of Brahmanbaria municipality has suspended all activities for indefinite period due to the severe damages caused by Hefajat-e-Islam activists and supporters.
Hefajat men went on rampage at the municipality during the countrywide hartal enforced by the group on March 28.
The municipality authorities issued a notice in this regard yesterday and detailed the damages, reports our Brahmanbaria correspondent.
The municipality authorities have not been able to remove garbage from March 28 to April 3 as the vehicle for carrying garbage was burnt, the notice reads. ....
