Easter baskets for veterans from St. Paul Lutheran and American Legion
Sometimes, The Easter Bunny needs helpers.
On Wednesday, some helpers were members of St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church in Centreville, along with Three Rivers American Legion members, who were creating Easter baskets for veterans.
The St. Paul action team, led by Mary Craaybeek with members of the congregation and community, provided enough personal hygiene supplies topped with candy, for 45 baskets.
Team members, including Melanie Bontrager, Judy Gross, Alice Newport and Craaybeek, set up the assembly lines. American Legion members Jesse Toney, post commander, with Bill Thompson, Ed Denny and Norm Stutesman, filled the baskets. ....
