Elkins Common Council, Public Safety Committee and Personnel Committee all meet next week. In addition, the Elkins Historic Landmarks Commission meets Tuesday at 4 p.m., and the Elkins Parks and Recreation Commission meets Wednesday at 5 p.m.
In response to high coronavirus infection rates in Randolph County and statewide, the mayor has ordered that Elkins council and committee meetings be held virtually through at least December. At its Monday 10 a.m. meeting, the Public Safety Committee will discuss proposed updates to the city’s property maintenance code and review an estimate for demolishing a Fussell estate property on First Street.
