Ysleta and El Paso Independent School Districts last day of in-person classes will be held past Abbott s executive order deadline, so the two districts will no longer require face masks on school campuses for the remainder of the school year.

Greg Abbott s executive order banning mask requirements in public schools goes into effect next week. Ysleta and El Paso Independent School Districts last day of in-person classes will be held past Abbott s executive order deadline, so the two districts will no longer require face masks on school campuses for the remainder of the school year. YISD s last day of classes is June 11. EPISD s last day of classes is June 15. Abbott issued an executive order May 18 banning mask requirements in Texas public schools after June 4. Defying the order could result in a fine up to $1,000.
