Islamabad: Ehsaas has opened 8171 SMS campaign on Wednesday enabling the new deserving households to check their eligibility under Ehsaas Kafaalat.
SAPM Dr. Sania Nishtar said that the deserving families desiring to find out their eligibility status in the Kafaalat programme should send their Computerized National Identity Card (CNIC) numbers on the SMS code 8171, which is activated from Wednesday. âThe 8171 SMS service has been made free of charge for the public and the entire cost will be borne by Ehsaasâ, she added.
âEhsaas has begun the process of enrolling new beneficiaries which have been identified on the basis of the 2021 Ehsaas survey which is now 81 per cent completeâ, she further added. Beneficiaries identified through the survey undergo âwealth profilingâ through a data analytics mechanism to further clean the list of beneficiaries. ....

Islamabad: The novel initiative of ‘Ehsaas Koi Bhooka Na Soy’ would be expanded to three more cities including Lahore, Faisalabad and Peshawar before the holy month of Ramazan to distribute free meals in the localities of labourers and hospitals.
The concept of truck kitchens ‘Ehsaas Koi Bhooka Na Soye’ (EKBNS) was launched by the Prime Minister on March 10, 2021 under the umbrella of Ehsaas to serve free meal boxes twice a day to daily wage earners initially in Rawalpindi and Islamabad.
However, the programme is now being expanded to three other cities before the holy month of Ramazan on special instructions of prime minister. Across Lahore, Faisalabad and Peshawar, EKBNS mobile trucks carrying cooked food will visit the localities of labourers and hospitals to distribute free meals. ....

Islamabad: The ‘Ehsaas’ Programme plans to launch the first of its kind ‘Ehsaas’ secondary education conditional cash transfer (CCT) programme for deserving households to send their children to secondary schools. The programme will be rolled out nationwide across all districts in July 2021.
The new secondary education CCT has been structured along the lines of ‘Ehsaas’ Stipends policy that allocates higher stipend amount for girls as compared to boys. According to a statement issued after BISP Board meeting chaired by SAPM Sania Nishter, this policy decision by the board is an extension of ‘Ehsaas’ primary education CCT, ‘Waseela-e-Taleem’ Digital, expanding it to the secondary level. ....

E-Kutcheri held to address queries of Ehsaas beneficiaries

Islamabad: The first-ever Ehsaas e-Kutcheri was held on Wednesday to address the queries of Ehsaas beneficiaries. The purpose of this e-Kutcheri was to provide direct answers to the queries of the beneficiaries of the Ehsaas Program by the concerned officials of Benazir Income Support Programme and Ehsaas Program and provide guidance for possible solutions to their problems.
The time for Ehsaas e-Kutcheri was fixed on March 31 (Wednesday) from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm during which the beneficiaries were directed to call 0519246334 and ask questions. However, due to the full participation of the people, the e-Kutcheri lasted for about an hour and a half. Most of the questions asked by Ehsaas beneficiaries during the e-Kutcheri were related to the procedure of applying for the different programmes of Ehsaas, eligibility criteria, problems in biometric identification at ATMs and other payment centers, next payment of Ehsaas Kafaalat, Ehsaas survey and ....

ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The Prime Minister’s Special Assistant on Social Protection and Poverty Alleviation Dr. Sania Nishtar chaired the final meeting on the upcoming Ehsaas Private Sector Engagement Policy (EPSEP) at the Poverty Alleviation and Social Safety Division (PASSD) in Islamabad on Wednesday.
The objective of the EPSEP is to engage and facilitate non-government stakeholders to leverage their technical, financial, entrepreneurship and outreach support to amplify impact of Ehsaas.
