Early this morning, the Lake Murray Little League was informed that our stolen Gator had been returned and located nearby in San Diego. The Gator had a note attached stating that it was indeed ours. Arrangements are being made to transport the Gator back to Sunset Field.
We are grateful that whoever was responsible for the theft had a change of heart and decided to do the right thing. On behalf of the entire Lake Murray Little League Board of Directors, I would like to take this opportunity to thank the La Mesa Police Officers’ Association for their assistance in organizing the incredible effort to raise funds to replace the Gator. The fundraiser raised over $8,000.00 and was intended to be used to purchase a new utility cart for the League. ....
