Eleven people are injured after a hot air balloon crashed near Arrowtown.
St John has confirmed to Newshub eight people have minor injuries, one person has moderate injuries, and two people have serious injuries. Police have confirmed there have been no fatalities.
Those in a serious condition are being transported by helicopter to Dunedin Hospital while the others are being taken to Lakes District Hospital by ambulance.

Eleven people have been injured after a hot air balloon crashed while landing near Arrowtown this morning.
Emergency services were alerted about the incident on Morven Ferry Road just before 10am. ....

The hot air balloon company responsible for a crash landing near Queenstown on Friday has released details of how the accident occurred.
A spokesperson for Sunrise Balloons said on Friday afternoon the balloon was carrying experienced pilot Carrick McLellan and 10 passengers when it came into land on a private airstrip in Morven Ferry Rd.
On approach, the balloon was caught by a sudden wind gust and the basket containing passengers impacted with a low bank.
