To kick things off, the board approved their proposed budget dates for the 2022-23 school year, which will take place Feb. 17, 2022 (budget presentations), Feb. 22, 2022 (budget deliberations), Feb. 28, 2022 (public budget consultation) and March 7, 2022 (final budget approval). Of course, these dates could be subject to change based on the provincial funding announcement made prior to Jan. 31, 2022. ....
Brandon Sun Posted: Advertisement Public health officials advised Earl Oxford School staff on Wednesday that a member of a Grade 1-3 class had tested positive for COVID-19, and that this person may have been infectious throughout Dec. 15-18. According to a news release from the Brandon School Division, a public health investigation revealed that this exposure was low risk and that the infection was not believed to be acquired at school. Additionally, close contacts connected to the case have been identified and advised to self-isolate. A thorough deep-cleaning and disinfection is currently underway at the school in preparation for the return of staff and students in the new year. ....
